Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup margarine softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pkg. (12 oz) semi-sweet Chocolate Chips (refrigerated)
  • 1 cup nuts optional
chocolate chip cookies

Preheat oven to 375° F

Instructions:
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl, mix with wire whisk.
Beat margarine, sugars, and vanilla extract in larger bowl until creamy.
Add eggs, beating well until smooth.
Gradually add in flour mixture.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto baking sheets.

Bake 375° for 9 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.

If you get a chance try substituting the vanilla extract for some Mexican vanilla extract, great flavor!

*Tip: The secret in these cookies is to have the chocolate chip morsels refrigerated before cooking, & the margarine softened!
