Mary T's Filter Frenzy l
week 4
I had only the demo for Xenophex 2 to work with this week, and did not have all the filters for the assignments, so I used a little artistic license to come up these examples for this week's page. My parrot's ransom note! I used the crumple filter, the red wine stain, and burnt edges, and a font called "Ransom," with a happy face fill on some of the letters though you really can't see the happy faces very well.
Another example of crumple and stain is this version of Jack's sketch of Rose in the movie "Titanic." So maybe it should have been waterlogged instead. I did use the "Rust" stain, which is what happened to the ship.
Here is my gator, flood-filled with a green skin and the "cracks" filter since I did not have "baked earth." He is resting on some PSP pavement.
"Electrify" inspired me to use this picture of Johnny Depp from the movie "Edward Scissorhands." I thought it suited his personality very well!
This is a sampler that I stitched on linen. Trying the flag filter on this photo made me laugh because of how hard I worked to get this thing framed without wrinkles and to be nice and straight! And here it is all messy again.
This flag is flying from the left, thanks to the flag filter.
I couldn't find the doo doo filter but I used the Little Fluffy Clouds on this color-enhanced photo of a manatee lagoon in Florida. I believe I used the filter called Alien Sunrise.
For fun and/or extra/no credit, I used another filter from Xenophex 2 on this self-taken photo of my sweet hubby. Here's how he looks in classic "organized" mosaic tiles. After all, he is a very organized person.
For extra extra extra credit and just because this is one of my favorite efforts, I added the lightning filter to a composite that I made last fall. When I found a great desktop wallpaper to download, I used some vintage photos to come up with the results on this page. The lightning came from Xenophex 2 and I think it adds a special effect. This week was the MOST fun so far!
